Automobile Testing - Drive Train and Suspension
Instron provides testing equipment for durable, high-quality drive trains and suspensions that comply with strict safety standards.
■Axle Testing Device The axle is installed on a support frame that reproduces the vehicle's mounting points, and by using data from wheel load cells and other sensors, it can perform accelerated durability cycle tests to evaluate the lifespan of the axle module. ■Clutch Durability Testing Durability and performance evaluation tests for clutch components can be conducted using a testing rig. ■Fatigue Testing of Drive Shafts It can generate angle amplitudes of ±50° and torques of up to ±60kNm, reproducing the full range of operational angles and dynamic loads. ■Torsion Testing of Drive Shafts This system uses Bluehill(R) Universal software, which has a dedicated method for torsion testing with sample conditions. ■Shock Absorber Impact Testing A special temperature-controlled constant temperature bath has been designed for the 9400 series drop weight impact testing machine, which can incorporate an assembly vibration isolation device of 600mm height, along with dedicated software developed to apply multiple impacts to the vibration isolation device.
